As part of a six-day tour of the southeastern US, Texas Boys Choir’s world-renowned, Grammy® award-winning Tour Choir will perform at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral, 305 East Capitol Street in Jackson, MS on Wednesday, May 23 at 7PM. Artistic Director D. Jason Bishop will lead the ensemble in a program of diverse and inspirational choral music, ranging from sacred and classical styles to lighter fare. Admission is by donation.
Texas Boys Choir is an auditioned, professional, treble choir program composed of boys in grades 3-4 (Training Choir) and 5-8 (Tour Choir). TBC has been an educational and performance institution since 1946 and has since continued to provide any boy, regardless of socioeconomic or ethnic background, a structured environment in which to learn the fundamentals of world-class vocal performance. Throughout its history, the choir has traveled the world, performing before popes, presidents and kings. TBC has appeared on national television and radio broadcasts. With numerous awards, including two Grammys and more than 40 professional recordings, TBC continues to maintain its reputation as one of the premier boychoirs in the world.
