January 21st: EYC & Connecting Communities Service Project at Stew Pot from 9:00-1:00 P.M. (lunch is provided).
January 21 @ 8:30 am - 1:00 pm
On January 21, 2019, the Junior League of Jackson will host a series of half-day service projects in the Jackson area. Specifically designed to coincide with Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service events nationwide, we are inviting our members, partners, and supporters to connect with each other and our shared community through service.
In partnership with Canopy Children’s Solutions, HeARTworks, HIS Heart, Jackson Public Schools, Revitalize Mississippi, and Stewpot, this day of service is designed to harness the strength that we have in connecting volunteer resources to specific needs. From beautifying local neighborhoods to packing critical supplies for foster children and victims of domestic violence and much more, participants can choose from a variety of opportunities to make a positive impact in the lives of our community’s children and youth.
In the words of Dr. King, “Everybody can be great … because anybody can serve.” Register below for the Connecting Communities Day of Service and be great with us!
If you are unable to participate but want to support Connecting Communities efforts with a donation, you can make a monetary donation in support of the project, or you can purchase specific supplies from our Amazon Wish Lists to be used at the event. If purchasing supplies, please deliver the supplies to Junior League Headquarters (805 Riverside Drive, Jackson, MS 39202).
